So if I bring the stock 08 FJC (no sliders/OEM bumpers, tires, etc.) can I be assured of returning w/o scratches and dents? (As I recall, there is enough mild stuff there where I could do that). If so, I'm a definite maybe (plus one 14yo). If I hurt the new truck, Momma wont let me come play again.

I can toss in the CB and tow strap - other than that, I got no new aw-some off road gear for it yet (I do not count the ARB roof rack as off-road gear).

I can offer to cook desert - dutch oven cake, but I need a hour sitting still to cook it. If that works into the logistics, then somebody with a fridge, please bring some vanilla ice cream.

I could also deliver any fj60 parts ppl want at the same time (preferably before the ride). ;-)

Okay, so, anyone have a recommendation for where to pick up a cheapie mag mount antenna in No. VA? Maybe somewhere in between Tyson's and Alexandria?

On a related note, Radio Shack sucks.

The CB shop next to the porn store in Manassas (Auto Outfitters). They'll even tune it for you.

I think you can be assured of no dents, but a few scratches may not be out the question as we pass through some tighter parts of the trail with scrub.

you can follow me. I am the widest thing there by far and can clear the way. Also, my limb risers have made a huge difference with the pin striping. They look ridiculous, but really do help.

Any decent truckstop (but I do not know of one between tyson's and alexandria). Automotive dept in Walmart? (they have wierd redneck stuff like that).

Radio shack sure aint what it was. No wonder Ted Kazinski built all his stuff from scratch.

ha, didnt bother me

As you come down the mountain, honk as you pass the purple mailbox before you get to union springs dam.... That is my driveway - atleast the start of it.

You inspired me - as soon as I can figure out how to do the front mounts (no bull bar, yet...), I just might be sporting some limb risers by this weekend.

I had intended to use kayak straps that mount to fender bolts in-between the hood and fenders, before I got a brushguard.

Lunch?

what is the update for the pot luck lunch, should we make a list? Fernando, do you want us to throw you some bones for all the pork?

So far i am planning on bringing home made southern style tader salad, and the :princess: 's home made red velvet brownies for everyone. I am glad to throw something else in there as well.

Looks like I may be able to break away and tag along for this one. I'll have the family in tow, so I guess I'll get some more use out of that third row.
