Day trip? I could be game. Gotta check calendar before I commit though.

yeah, just a cool crisp fall daytrip. i figure the following 2 weekends will be tight with turkeyday week.

Sounds like fun to me. I could throw a grill and some burgers in the back of the wagon and maybe get the wife and kids out. A football may be involved too.

i'll volunteer my wife's baked beans. they're tops (and it'll make the commute home memorable for your spouses)

if we can firm it up, i can smoke a pork shoulder the night before and bring it in a cooler, it'll stay warm for hours, then we pick it and sauce/dress it to our heart's desires.

that harrisonburg one, do we need any permits or to check with any rangers or anything? how much time on trail before that open area? (ie: does it make a good lunch spot?)
