I have decided to finally cash in on some free labor before I move west. From what I understand Terry and I both have some things to do on our trucks so I propose a HAMOM Saturday November 2-3. My boss has allowed me to host here at the farm but I'm open to any location that can facilitate working on Burt. There is 40 acres here and a large shop and most of the tools we would need. Also, anyone who would like to can camp overnight. I'm in Southern Pines, about an hour south of Raleigh, two hours east of Charlotte, hour and twenty south of Greensboro. After this weekend I'll have a list of what I need help with.

We've got a little game to be at in Carter Finley.... sorry man.

I should be able to come down.

Yea same here... Game in Raleigh that day, but I sure would like to be down there.

I plan on taking a short break from cruiser projects soon, but would be a great time down there for sure.

Thanks for the invite

So I began the process on my truck today and found my passenger side knuckle had an exploded lower bearing which probably caused the clutch in my lock-out to explode. Yay. Anybody have an Aisin hub lock-out? I'll be rebuilding the front axle and installing an ARB locker so if anyone wants to wrench a little before the HAMOM let me know. I certainly don't want to leave anyone out. I should hav ethe locker by the end of the week.

And now I know why no one should ever buy the knuckle kit from Trail Gear. Chinese bearings like to explode. On both sides the lower knuckle bearings fell out in peices. The PO of my axles installed it. Damn you China!!!

Well, old saying says you get what you pay for. This is why i do not run their stuff on anything i own. Just sayin.

Well, I'm currently on the front axle..... I've got helper springs all around to install, trans cooler, sagnaw steering box, arb locker with small compressor for the front (ordering today), e-brake install, new front ring gear ( found a couple teeth shaved), remove spool from rear axle and replace with the lock-right from the front, possibly new rear wheel bearings (just to be safe), re-build my spare tire swing out to be centered. That's the list now but may change a little. Oh and have a couple extra sets of eyes look around for any maintenance type stuff to be aware of in the future.

This is all on Burt?

Are you putting on a Saginaw steering pump or a steering box?

What's the plan for the e-brake?

Is the ARB diff going to be set up before the 2nd or is that something we'll have to get done?

All on Burt, saginaw pump, ARB will most likely be set up.

You should try and be more ambitious - y'all will have all that knocked out before lunch ;)

Maybe we'll get something done on one of the track cars as well :D

You say some front teeth are shaved ? Like for getting the center pin in on the rear end ?
