Change of plans again. Terry and I will be there early tomorrow morning. If everything works out in our favor, we'll be there before 8am.

What about your rule of life Johnny? Meatball and I are already working. ARB and light switches are mounted in the cab. Not sure how much more progress we'll make cause we already started drinking.

Still drinking. I changed my oil and almost have my shims installed

Where's the pics? Of the drinking... ;)

You better not leave before I get there. I have to look at a home in Candor, on my way. I'll be there before noon.

On a side note. Lydia is front row on the 50 yard line, east side, for the Panther game. She's beside her self. :)

Ahhhhhhh, playing with firearms while drinking, glad I spent the day driving instead.

When Johnny unknowingly removed the barrel of that gun his reaction was hilarious. To him it fell apart in his hands.
It was a fantastic day working on the trucks and we got a lot done. Adams front axle is now shimmed to the proper angle and he's done with that silly electric fuel pump. Forgive me but I cant recall what got done on Terry's rig but I was a little buzzed and working on Burt, but something got done. Big thanks to Eric for surgically removing the spool from my rear diff. It was kind of jammed in there by the PO of my axles. And thanks to Johnny, Kenny, Terry, and Adam for a great day wrenching. A couple things to do today on Burt and I can officially say she is built properly. We shall see in a couple weeks when I hit a few URE trails.

Johnny brought the gun out not me

I did! There were no rounds in or around, I was just playing with it :D

Thanks for having us out Mike!!

Mike ,
Quick question.

What are the measurements of that shop? Ballpark is fine don't need exact measurements.

Thanks

According to Terry from Cary, Dennis Rodman could jump and touch the rafters, back in his prime.

You guys remember that conversation?

Of course!

Just looked it up. He was 6'7" tall, making his reach about ~10'. It's not uncommon for a NBA player's vertical to be 36" or more, so it's possible!

Over the past week and weekend I finished up some of the items on my truck and made needed adjustments. The trans cooler is installed, no thanks to Man a fre's stupid kit. I had some major death wobble due to the fluid precision of my front axle rebuild so I installed a custom double stabilizer kit which dramatically improved the situation. My steering pump required a smaller belt so when I re mounted it I installed studs into the pump face to allow some adjustment. After some trial and error I think I have it in position. I finished up the parking brake install and it all seems to work well. And after torture testing the new platform I needed to tighten up on the knuckle bearings and today I need to snug up a front wheel bearing. Apparently those big tires put some major stress on the components. All in all Burt is now amazing on the trail and what a world of difference having that ARB up front. Yesterday's trail test revealed all the shortcomings of my previous configurations. Thank you to everyone that helped me get Burt to this point.

I recall tightening 5lbs over. One side is fine the other has a tiny amout of play only apparent when the tire is on.
