Looking for either steel or SS 1/2” sq mesh. It’s got to be strong and either domed or capable of being formed into a dome. This is old school driving/headlight cover from northern days of gravel roads. My new lights are 8” around and I don’t want to send to Australia for another set.
So if anyone has ideas of where I can actually find this let me know. I’m going to hit the local kitchen place cause these are used in SS as sifters and other uses.

I’ve got a pair of them that are designed to fit nominal 7” headlights. I can measure them when I get home.

Unfortunately plastic

Didn’t spot where I tucked the guards, but based on the mounts, they are only 7-7.25”

I’m planning to get a lift kit for the Prius… Easy enough to install, but as always, I hate paying shipping to Canada from the USA.

Anywhere in the USA $15 shipping. To Canada through eBay store $45 shipping plus $31 import fees (eBay claims nothing else for what it’s worth).

Anyone use Clipper Shipping recently? Other options?

Should have said “Parts for my Prius”… I’m worried that I’ve caused some coronaries. I’ve never heard the crickets this loud before.

I’m getting tired of scraping speed bumps. Unloaded its clearance is about 5”… I’ve not measured with passengers, but it’s even worse.

I haven't ordered many parts from the states lately. AUS or Dubai for cruiser stuff.

For generic car s*** I've found partsavatar to be ok. They're in Canada.

For these spacers it’s steel from USA with a lifetime warranty. Or rubber from Russia which I’m not into.

I’m not interested in rubber lift spacers… it’s not a political position. They fall apart in time.

I meant I seriously doubt you could get anything out of Russia that you order these days due to the sanctions of both sides. I wouldn’t even contemplate a order from Russia as there’s little chance of receiving it.

Your question was about shipping.

Correct!

Before spending $75+ usd to get it into my hands, i was checking to see if there was another shipping option.

Not sure how big a news this is but I saw a sign up where the old Sportsmans Wholesale Warehouse
used to be, KMS TOOLS is opening up a store. I’ve never been cause the closest is in Colwood I think.
Might be nice to have another option.

Ah crap.

It being hard to get to has probably saved me a s***load of money over the years.

Week from wednesday. Might be here, maybe there will be weird first day sale of something we've had no idea we needed
until we see it there. Lol

Ha, that's what worries me lol.

It's all the lathe and metal machinery we've been totally lacking here. Or any of that sort of tooling.
I've wanted a small milling machine for years, but used is hopeless, always ten guys in front of you overpaying for worn out junk.

It'll all be chinese, but what isn't these days?

Their milling machines seem to work well enough for home use.

They are also a source for parts for Milwaukee, Makita, and many other brand names. Easy place to spend money if you’ve got it to spend.

The one formerly in Colwood is now 1.2 km from my house in an area I drive past daily.

There are two options at the Victoria Airport. With both, you ship to Blaine and then pickup at the airport. Then you go in and clear it through customs yourself.

I have used express air a few times with no issues.
