Was looking at the diagram for a Non US made RHD FJ45 series carburetor that is Australian.
The blue line running up from the charcoal canister to the single vacuum port junction on the top side of the carb, does it end there (blocked port) or does it continue to some other area of the carbs system?
Just curious were it should go from there if anyone knows. :smokin:

The port at the top of the carburetor is for vacuum. It is there for various accessories requiring vacuum switching. If you do not require a vacuum switching mechanism for this port you can disregard it. You can plug it up with a standard port plug.

yes I know what it is, and agree with you, but when it is connected to an item such as in this case the charcoal canister, I am assuming it has a purpose.
Maybe it's jut ported to the surrounding air? The illustration is somewhat vague.
I will see what I can find out about the charcoal canister system and how it works on this model, may give a clue is it draws air or expels air?
Thanks

That's okay Splangy, I think I will try a different approach to a non US carb system questions. Thanks

Form follows function. The purpose of the line is to introduce fuel-rich vapor back into the carburetor to burn it.

If your air cleaner has a vacuum fitting next to the carburetor, hook it up there. If the vacuum fitting is larger, which it generally is, make an appropriate sized port in the air cleaner to accept it.

It’s free fuel that otherwise goes to waste.
