Non OEM fan clutch

Do these no OEM fan clutches (advanced, autozone etc..) just suck? I replcaed mine at the end of last summer and seems like it's on its way out already. Anyone have any suggestions on other brands or is OEM the only real solution?

I may have my wife change it out this time...because that just just sucks if you don;t have midget hands

I have been told as far as fan clutchs go, oem is the only way to go....

Get a OEM from Cruiser Dan. They are not much money

Get an OEM from CDan. The generic brands are smaller and lighter and don't move as much air. Mark addressed this issue in Toyota Trails a couple of years back.
