I bought a set of Focal 6.5s, eager to start my audio journey in my 100 (about time). The job itself was very easy, but now i have no sound coming from front driver door. re-connected OEM speaker and no sound at all now, thought i would have had at least a defective speaker. I find hard to believe my head unit is suddenly toasted or even the amp. Did not proceed with installing the other door until i can at least resolve what the issue is. Part of me just wants to say f it all and go full aftermarket- but its extra money I'd rather not spend. My goal is to at least integrate a decent enough sound system utilizing the factory radio and amp.

So I was able to pull diagnostic codes from the factory radio [Hold 1 - 6, push CD button 3 times]

2- 240 & 1- 190

Pulling up old TSBs and troubleshoot stuff suggest I just replace door harness, radio, or even the amp. At least that's what i am understanding.

Any one experience this before?

Likely broken wire in harness. The break is often between door and body in boot. Check continuity, between wire at speaker and wire housing block inside cabin behind footwell side cover. You can repair wire, replace just the one wire or replace wire harness. I've both replaced harness, and repaired wire with butt soldier.

Problem solved. Faulty

Problem was solved.

Used multi-meter to measure resistance and there plenty of juice output from door harness. So that left me with a faulty crossover from speaker kit.

Knew it was something simple

Man I think I’ve got the same thing from my Focal kit (same model as yours). Mines cutting in and out.

Did you buy them within this year? If so, they are still under warranty. Focal America is here in SoCal. I was able to get a replacement crossover asap.
