So I decided to go with the nitto terra grappler over the trail grappler because im gonna be driving to mississippi and back for school oover the next 4 years and dont want to be replacing tires so often. Now I need to decide between the 325/60R18 terra grappler and the 325/65R18. The 325/60 is a 33" tire and the 325/65 is a 35" tire (roughly 34.9 i think). It's only $128 more for a set of the 35s but does anybody have a picture of their rig running either of these tire sizes? Thanks

Those are pretty wide tires. You got 4.88's? ARB front carrier? wheel spacers? body lift? If not it'll be a lot more than the $128 extra. I really liked to terra grappler. Nothing bad to say about them.

With that many miles on road, it would be worth it to buy a second set of rims with highway all-season tires on it.

Taylor if you'd going to be doing a lot of driving then you want to go narrower than that. I'd look at a 275 or 285. Go 35 if you want but stay narrow and keep the pressure up. I'd also look at the BFG's as those seem to put up the longest miles on our rigs. Further, I'm 95% certain that 325's will rub on our rigs without spacers.

I really like the 325s because of how wide and beffy they look although they may not be too practical haha I have 1.5" wheel spacers so I don't think they would rub much if at all. Looking to get one of spressomon's body lifts too

Dude, get 285's. There is no point to having tires that wide

I also second the notion that 325's are too wide... Not sure how that would look, you may want flares if you go with the wide set. Otherwise it would look odd, no? Well, I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. I don't think the handling would be in your favor as well if you go that wide. Stick with the narrower tire

Do you want looks or performance? You said that you were going to stay away from the Trail Grappler due to the number of highway miles. As others have said, stay away from wide tires for the very same reason.

I have 285x65x18 and would not go any wider......they are 33x11.50 and have a good bit of rolling resistance on the Trail Grappler models....I have run Terra Grapplers on Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel....FJ Cruiser.....and would recommend going a little narrower. Use a conversion tool to make quick checks on sizes....

Why not bump down to a 305/70/16? Those are a true 33" tire, that gives you that good looking wide footprint at anywhere from 12-12.5" (depending on brand of tire).

285/65 on tundra 18s. Plenty of tire for me.

2.5'' medium lift

Buy some Toyo ATs on tirecrawler.com and save about $50-60 a tire

He is on 18 inch rims

eh, when you really put pencil to paper, it's not worth it. That was my experience anyway. Tire wear is tire wear, and it has to be paid for some how. Even purchasing used, by the time you do mount, balance, etc, and then calculate any miniscule MPG savings in terms of gas $, it's hard to make it come out in your favor. But it is cool to have two sets of wheels. Anyone want to buy some highway tires on Tundra steelies? :D

Go 285/75/18 then you get a narrow 35 but you might have to go to a Toyo A/T...the nitto's uncle.
Heavy tire for lots of HWY miles.

Yeah I had seen that, just another option to switch to a smaller rim where tires seem to be less expensive. Or what about the 305/60/18's? I believe Nitto makes a set in that size
