Landcruisers/Patrols are all 1 tonners so are many smaller vehicles, do you mean vehicles with dana 60/70s etc or the big GM diffs from Silverados etc? If so yes they have sold them here, but not in any great number and they are very expensive to buy, get parts for etc.

Landcruiser/Patrol parts are very cheap and plentiful in comparison.

That sux....what about military surplus?

Ha ha... What military mate that's the same as the bigger axles almost Non existent as well so there is no surplus. :-(

I'm not sure HD Land Cruiser can be considered in the 1Ton segment it must be more like 3/4 ton ..

1 ton = 1000kgs payload is that how you thinking ? Which is many landcruisers, even my little falcon ute is a 1 tonner.

Metric tonne is less than the Yankee ton

Dana's, 14 bolts and the like are very rare over here, most people have to import them from the US.

Unless you go looking in a truck, practically nothing 10 inch or bigger crown wheel

BTW I am using a custom housing with GU centre in my rig. Was looking to buy nitro axles for it, but maybe something better now!

to be honest .. you can't compare any D60 35 splines or any 14B with any rear cruiser axle used .. and I'm Cruiser lover .. but just can't hide behind my love .. :D

with enough work it is possible to run 35 spline shafts in a fj80 housing.. so i'd imagine you can do it in yours also ..

with the 100 or 105 ( i think 105 is full float) could you get a wheel adapter .. to go from 5 lug to 6?

isnt there a tundra rear axle that has like a 10.4 ring gear? i'd imagine it has bigger shafts..

Why not run Longfield, custom length rear shafts with chromoly drive flanges?

Cause the drive flanges only fit 27 spline axles witch only come in stock lengths so that's not an easy swap at all.

There seems to be some confusion on how much a ton weighs

You are referring to the short ton used by US , and witch 1 short ton = 907.18474 kgIf you mean the metric tonne, then 1000 kg = 1 metric tonne

a metric ton is about 240 pounds heavier than a "Yankee" ton
