What are anti lock brakes?

I drive a 50 year old Landcruiser. Do you mean disc brakes? I’ve got those on all 4 wheels. 🤷‍♂️

ABS for me is -> I'm braking and my front tires locked up, okay, I'll feather the brakes a bit.... LOL

Driverless cars is a bit like when marine autopilots started getting paired with chart plotters. Could program in your whole route, complete with course changes.

A lot of them had waypoints pre programmed in.

Some people actually complained that if more than one person was using this in a particular area the boats would be on the same track and therefore might collide.

It was suggested they look out the ****ing window and watch where they're going. :bang:

Sure. Stock 60 brakes suck ass.

Couldn't lock them up on dry pavement if you wanted to.
Got me. Fair and square.... D'oh!
I might disagree. If I hadn't had mine tuned up Teri and I wouldn't be here today. Guy cut me off coming into Jingle Pot on the hill.
I'd have never believed in a million years that truck would stop that fast, just glad it did.

Swap in an 80 series booster and master… it’ll lock them up on dry pavement. That is if you have a strong vacuum pump. Or go hydro boost and they’ll work. It’ll lock all four discs on dry pavement in my 4700 lb+ 40 series with a sharp jab of two fingers.

Been there done that, still mediocre at best.

Same parts in my 40 make it do a nose stand. :meh:

I'm used to it now, but a brake job is coming soon, might wait till spring and warmer weather .

Happy to see that old BJ74 that was for sale here has gone to a good home in Kimberly. I'm driving to Kelowna Monday
to pick up a pick up box, so taking the Tundra but it's coming from over there. The guy offered to meet me halfway. I was
actually looking forward to the whole drive across the passes. But towing a trailer with the Tundra so it's definitely easier.

I know we have a guy here making guitars, but this one caught my eye today while interweb surfing.
Lorne Collie holds a guitar made from a moose antler at his home in Hope, B.C. Lorne is 88 yrs old.
I just think this is one epic guitar, made by what has to be a pretty interesting guy. Just cool. 😎

And here I thought they killed off Herschel in season 4....

Hopefully with Honda on board Nissan won't have any repeats on the automatic Nissan Versa. The V-Belt drive is prone to fail between 10-100,000 km which then turns the car into an expensive paperweight.
And by ten, I mean 10 km not 10k. I looked at some lower (120k km) mileage Versa that needed a new transmission that cost more than the car was worth. I considered getting a new transmission with 30-40 k on them for &1500. When I researched it more it could potentially fail again at any time. Nissan says they last if maintained properly… but drivers state that’s not the case.

Nissan made the Figaro. That's enough for me. Forever motor. Not to mention our old
720 pick up, which the rust gods claimed but is still running somewhere I'm sure bulletproof Z24!!

That’s a lot of skills for a medium wage!

Yup it is! We were pushing to have this put into a different union with the salary bumped up to something more substantial. Just resistance so far. It's a real bitter point. Half hoping we don't find anyone willing to work for this. Then maybe the salary bump would become a reality.

The CUPE pension/benefits are pretty decent, and add up to be six figure total package at least...
