The owner was screaming instructions at the deck truck operators when they loaded it. I don’t think he’s readyThat's a bummer... Frame might still be straight though
Avoiding doing actual work. Tried making a soft shackle.
Pretty easy, lanyard knot is a bit of a tongue twister but still took maybe 15 minutes for the first one and some of that was googling.
I have a ton of this skinny amsteel, but also some thick ass stuff that'd be good for winching.
There's a version called "bubba shackles" which are tied a bit differently. Look a bit cleaner, might have to try that if I can figure out how they did it.View attachment 2563505
You probably do. I still have a wine carboy full of it.Looks good. I think I recognize that rope!
Already working on it... our 2008 Prius with 100k miles is challenging my brain. I am finding it nice to be able to spin off/out nuts and bolts with my finger tips once they are loosened a bit.Guess we all better start brushing up on electrical theory.

GM to go all-electric by 2035, phase out gas and diesel engines
GM launched its first long-range electric car, the Chevy Bolt, in 2016.www.nbcnews.com
Kinda cool. Too bad there aren't more FC trucks around.
Probably tough to keep the test dummies alive in crashes I guess.

Chevy Silverado "Forward Control" Truck Redesign Looks Weirdly Practical
It looks a bit sci-fi, like a 2020 Chevy Silverado that's been re-engineered to fit on a rocket that's being sent to Earth 2.0www.autoevolution.com
Ha, once gm is 100% electric I guess some of the usual issues with space will be gone....Heh, I saw that too and just about posted it here yesterday. I thought it was pretty neat. A talented body guy could probably make it happen. Might need to swap to a boxer engine to have the cab sit that low though.

I don't hate the cab over 40...but I bet getting the steering to work took some ugly f***ery
Wish I'd got a pic, but I had a nice little blue townace park next to my green thing at the pub back when that sort of thing was normal.
I could see driving one of those if the engine in it was half decent.
Haha yeah I think so. This one was really clean, but I could see those front seats being about as safe as being strapped to the front bumper. Is the townace the JDM version of the 'toaster van' (LE van)? Apparently they had one of the worst front impact crash ratings of any Toyota.![]()

There was a really cool Isuzu cab over for sale in Duncan for quite a while. Fold down bed sides, 4x4, think it had a lift and decent sized tires on it.
Always liked it, but probably because it reminded me of a unimog....
I like it!!I just 'had' to see if someone had done that with a cruiser:

In Europe FC's are used almost exclusively as they are taxed on how much road they actually take up. So big rigs are all cabover. Not onlyKinda cool. Too bad there aren't more FC trucks around.
Probably tough to keep the test dummies alive in crashes I guess.
