will get a few more pics in the next few days....but yeh, overall very tidy unit....

thanks for the welcome!

Is this your first Cruiser? What are your plans for her? Looks like a bowtie in the grill. What's under the hood? [Bonnet]

my first...but worked on many others when i was a young bloke....

as for the motor, yep...its been chev'd... mild 350...and a 5 speed put in as well..unsure what model it comes from...guessing a 60 series or something...

immediate plans, are to do a drum to disc conversion on the front asap! the PO didnt do this....so will be fixing it next week.... trying to get my parts sourced atm....

from there... power steering... probably going to refit the standard roof, find a back seat so my boys can all fit, maybe a/c.......

lets see how bad this shorty 40 bug is!!! lol

Huh....We got factory front disks starting in '76 here in the states. Not so in Oz I guess.

I'd kill for an H55. [5speed] They're pretty hard to come by here.

lets see how bad this shorty 40 bug is!!! lol

It gets worse with time. :steer:

i think they were a optional extra ..have seen a 81 lx cruiser with drum brake front recently here!! parts seem not to hard to source though...so thats a good thing!!

as for the bug...judging from some of the build up projects i have seen...looks like it gets pretty serious!!! lol

cheers guys.... so the gear box is a h55 hey...is that the most common conversion? i have been looking at the links in the FAQ section on disc break conversion.... seems it can be a pig sometimes? hopefully we have no drama's sourceing everything nice and quick....

will have to get it offroad next weekend for some more pics....

thanks again for the welcome
