Well it was time.
Really just the drivers seat had a hole and the cushion was collapsed and the door panels had the normal cracking along the top.
After weighing all the options. BMW seats, covers from various vendors etc. I decided to just have a local guy do it after I saw some work he did on other vintage vehicles.
I think it came out great.

as much as it drives me nuts seeing the dings and dents outside the truck, dialing in the interior has been more immediately rewarding than any outside bling.

Do you mind sharing what was the cost? Very clean job IMO.

Just to be clear what was done.
Front seats including new foam for drivers bottom, rear seats. Door panels, tops on all four and the inserts to match seats. Speaker install to replace front speakers (oem not working, grills broken) and repair of panel in rear cargo area that holds 6x9 speaker.
$950.

Im with you. I don't worry about the exterior as much, I keep telling myself it's patina. :) I use it as intended therefore I worry that if I had a new paint job I wouldn't want to take off road, worried about branch scratches etc....

That could be one of the finest $950 investments I've seen on any Land Cruiser. That is really quite incredible.
Kudos to your interior guy. J

@NMfjCruiser, beautiful work. Do you mind sharing who did it?

Bargain at 950! Looks great

I don't think I could find $950 around my area for a job well done like that.

So price is reasonable. How long did he have the rig to do the work. There is always a chance that someone who is not local might have an opportunity to come through town if it is a pretty quick turnaround.

Just $.02

Very sharp - good job at a fair price.

He had it 8 business days and over the weekend, but....I changed my mind on the fabric and it had to be ordered and my work takes me out of town so I had to drop it off on a monday even though work wasn't going to start until Thursday. If you scheduled with him I'm guessing 2 to 3 days max.
