This one belongs to long time lurker tlaporte. 1983 RHD diesel mil-spec. Gonna be a great desert wheeler once we get the steering and brakes up to speed and get the body BOLTED BACK DOWN TO THE FRAME!

hey mark
i believe the owner works at dreamworks as i saw his rig at the studio lot. always wanted to say HI

I absolutely do! Are you on campus, too? I've been driving it to work, as I figure we need to get a better balance of LCs to Priuses (Priii?) in the parking lot.

I'm at 5-6328 in Riv 157

Tom I actually saw your rig with a friend of mine who works on the campus. He has a yellow FJcruiser. I work in animation too. Maybe we can meet up someday as I live in Burbank. I have an LV.

That thread is one of my stickies. I don't think it's going to work out this year, though. I wish I could join that lineup.

Glad I could lure you off the sidelines Tom.;p Good call on passing up any runs in the short term until the safety issues are worked out. I think we could get you up to speed in time for a Saline Valley run in November tho. That's where a rig like yours belongs........in the outback!

:)

sweet 45, dig the mil spec add ons/mods

was a kid from Gig Harbor that worked for Dreamworks(if that is Speilbergs outfit) he worked on the Jerasic Park movies, when he lived up here he had the nicest Nissan patrol I have ever seen, this was 10 year ago I think

It would be real hard to find him. Perhaps not impossisble and 10 years ago there was no Dreamworks. People come and go plus move around a lot in the entertainment industry.

10 years ago there was no Dreamworks.

According to the company website:

"In 1994, Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen formed DreamWorks SKG. The company’s animation division partnered with Northern California-based PDI to produce CG animated movies, beginning with Antz in 1996."

You are right. Although I believe Jurassic park was produced and filmed earlier and release date for the first jurassic park movie summer 1993, Hey anyway what do I know:) I am just a dumb designer for cartoons and what the heck we should be talking about cruisers right not silly hollyweird facts:doh:

Got the best accessory for my Troopy

Mark I got the best accessory for my troopy on Friday: two brand new California license plates and registration tags and stickers to match!!!

I'm quite pleased to say that the process of legally importing a diesel cruiser into the state of California may have been a long one, but not nearly the nightmare that others have encountered.

Just glad to be able to put the plates on and make room in the calendar and budget to do some of the work we've talked about!!
