Maybe with that exact setup, but tons of 80s have been turbo'd before. Hell last time I was at one of the tuner shops in the SF valley picking up my friends turbo'd JK there were 2 80s and 1 100 getting turbo kits and custom ecu's built along with a whole host of other cars one of them being a Tundra engined supra drag car.

I don't know jack about programing and i'm generally terrible at anything electric but this seems excessive.

Like I said before I feel your pain dude. I hope something clicks right for your tuner soon so you can get your truck back at some point.

But like you I don't do ECU wiring. He does. But primarily supras where the fiddly work has been done 1000x before.

i don't envy him.

Motor is idling, but won't rev up - problem with the ECU communicating with the injectors.

DAMMIT. Hasn't said it won't be ready, but he didn't have to...

That's a head scratcher. The only "communication" the ECU does w/ the FIs is to ground them for the called for duty cycle (on) and then float ground when the cycle is complete (off). Sounds a bit weird to me.
