I've also read that our LC springs are interchangeable with some rovers, anybody heard this?

Yup, true story. Bill Burke, out of Fruita, CO, has been installing LC springs in LRs (RR, D1, D90). Might be the J springs.

MNTRAT, the lift looks cool and I'm totaly jealous. After bending my driver side rear control arm last weekend, I decided that I need bigger tires and more lift. Just goes to show that a Land Cruiser is a project that never ends.

How is the ride compared to like OME J springs?

I completlely understand making products bolt on. For guys who don't have $100,000 worth of tools in the garage it makes sense.

Your arms are adjustable, right? How do you know how much to adjust them or is this a deal where you take it to the alignment shop and have them adjust them. Or do you preadjust them before shipping them out based on the customers specifications of their rig?

I'm running 3.25" backspaced wheels on my 91, 15x8s, I love the added width. It drives really nice and it is stable. I've been looking for some 17" steel wheels with 3.5" backspacing for my 94. I was thinking 17x9 as that seems to be a width that is common on the 17s. Or should I be looking to go with less backspacing to make it wider? J springs will be my minimum height, maybe these new 6" springs?

Eric

I don't think the front arms are adjustible; however, the panhard bars are adjustible to recenter the axles underneath the cruiser.

Does the widened stance change the rubbing of the tires? Your picture of the Oregon run - are those the backspaced rims / tires?

Joe

since this thread started i have pretty much convinced myself to get these springs. It was hard to go with the "ultimate lift" before because i personally felt alot of lift was coming from spacers (wich were spendy) but not buying spacers makes it easer to get control arms and pan hards.......it seems to me cost wont be too bad.....(wishful thinking).....what is the estimated costs?

Any ramp or flex pictures yet with these new springs?

Mtnrat - you suck dude. My truck just experienced it's first shrinkage. :'( :flipoff2: Looks sick dude. Congrats.

Christo, way to go man, looks really good. Have you guys considered cut and turning the axles as you would for a soa? Just curious.

Dang, better get back to my project.

For those who are interested in how the truck drives with the new springs. I have to say great. Less body roll in corners at intown and hwy speeds. About the same firmness as the J spring on gravel and bumpy roads. PSI at 32lbs and 315 mtrs. Have only done a little bit of offroading so cannot report on that as of yet. Just drove a friends stock lx450 and i forgot how badly they lean and lurch with the stock suspension.
Sean.

Hows it handle at 85-90 mph on the highway zig zagging out of slow moving mofos?

... of course not that I would. :flipoff2:

Junk, I don't know yet, as the interstates I drove on the way home were basically empty.
Sean

i am also curios as to the option of the cut n turn. its not that hard. your get perfect driveline angles and prolly better caster than stock.......by the way i am still cant stop thinking about this set up. i want to see some ramps pic. wheelin opinions and all the beta you can get us.........drooling.......37s
