I just put Rancho 4in springs on with JT outfitter inverted shackles. I've got vibration out of the rearend. Going to put shims in to try to straighten it out before I lose my driveshaft or pinoin. Has anyone done it and if you have to try to get it on first pass use 4 or 6 degree shims? Also will new shocks help the road walk?

http://www.4xshaft.com for measurement info

once you know the pinion flange angle and the t-case output angle, you can then determine the shim. I'd guess 2.5, but may need more. I'd "guess" you'll need to tip your pinion down.

Also, check your driveshaft phase (of the u-joints)...should be a pic on the Woods site too.

Check your u-joints, and as woody stated the phase of the d-shaft u-joints. A few weeks after I installed my 4" lift a u-joint that was fine before died, and I never got my shaft back in phase (i assumed it was). Once I got the d-shaft in phase, and the faulty u-joint replaced, everything is silky smooth.
