That is exactly correct except he wasn't leading, he was stuck in the middle. I took the hard line to get around him so I could strap him to the top. Crunch.

Awesome sliders man! I like em even more than my original Slee Step Sliders (aren't yours called Slider Steps?) but, my wife likes our original ones better so that means she gets my 80 whenever I get another 80 'for her'. WAIT, hold the phone, what was I saying, ... that means I swap sliders whenenver I get another 80 for her!!! Whew! :D

how would you rate spray protection compared to the
- OEM runnning boards?
- OEM mudflaps?

are they sticking out and up far enough you think compared to the non-step style for good panel and door protection?

The spray is a different question. Your comparing plastic (OEM) to metal. The powder coat seems to be durable.

They stick out almost as much as the original Running board. You can see the difference in post #3. The original sliders are bent mor up at an angle rather than like a step. These should provide the exact same level of protection.

They look great. Retaining the end cap on the flare, I don't get that. Seems like if you need the slider that end cap (and probably the flare) is toast. Am I missing something here?

The Cap Christo is having made up is different and will not be damage prone like the OEM. I just put those on to show you could.

Are those bolt on or do you have to do some welding ?

Kalawang

They are bolt on.

how about some of those for the 100's? please :)

they look client freindly :)

Nice!

One thing I'm not too crazy about are the holes on the step. Just a personal thing and easy to correct/cover up. Maybe I'd get used to them...

Why the holes?

Seems the holes will take care of drainage somewhat.

I'd sure like to get a look see at the manner in which they bolt on and where.

I would think that the mounting system is basically the same as the non-step version. Have a look at sleeoffroad.com for details.

Ken, I meant protection from spray hitting the body, but if the width is only a bit less than the RB, it should be OK.

You don't think that by having the stepsliders horizontal it decreases clearance a bit?

Yes it would, but if you want clearance, you can get the original slee sliders (i.e. the non-step version).

You can't have it all...besides, the difference in clearance seems to be minimal. All it means is that you're going to drag it on some more stuff.

How much are they?

I would rather have Christo answer that.

I don't think they have the price listed yet but around $835 is as good an estimate as any.

My bad.
I thought I saw the prices somewhere...It thought it was on the site. It must've been here.

Those are sweet, but I think Christo should've water jetted "Cruiser or Lexus" into them. Kinda like Alan did on the 100 UTE back. That was sweet.

The holes do allow for drainage but a minimal amount of spray from the tires in mud.

All in all, nice!

Good choice,

Looking good, Ken.. and the new flare caps will be the finishing touch for sure. ;)
