Bought the first setof of the new Slee Step Sliders and had them installed today. First set of sliders and first on Christo's new clean floor. He moved his shop to the other side of the building. I like these because they have the step built into it. That makes it easier for the family members to get in. I am real happy with the look.

Nice thing about these is the existing cap fits on them. HOWEVER, Christo is having some special end caps made up that he said would look much better. Hopefully, I'll get a set of those next week. If so, I'll post the pic. Here is what it looks like with the old end cap.

Any plans to add some 'gription' tape to the step, or is it not needed?

I don't think it's needed. It's powdercoated with a rough finish.

I would really like to see the end caps when they come out.

Congrats on the trick step-sliders, those are what I'll be after eventually.

Not bad :D . Has a good clean look .. and functional

I will be very interested to see the new endcaps , because they will indeed tie it all together . Sorry , but I have no problem with asthetics mated with function :flipoff2:

I know , I know ... only SIG will think I'm for real . I'm just damn jealous that you live around the corner from Sleester . Bastid . :censor: I'd really like to see those in person . As clean as they and the 450 are in those poser pics extrordinaire , I don't think pics quite do them justice , do they ?

I'll be placing an order for pick up at CM05 :D

Thanks for the pics Romer -- mine'll be going on a clone of yours.

how would you rate spray protection compared to the
- OEM runnning boards?
- OEM mudflaps?

are they sticking out and up far enough you think compared to the non-step style for good panel and door protection?

Finally... you can have your cake and eat it too! :bounce:

Didn't see it on Slee's web site... wonder what's the list price?

Those look great, but grip tape works too.

Are those bolt on or do you have to do some welding ?

They look great. Retaining the end cap on the flare, I don't get that. Seems like if you need the slider that end cap (and probably the flare) is toast. Am I missing something here?

Maybe the new end cap they are working on won't wrap around the side and go under the slider like the stock one does. It looks like a cap could be designed to just come down and meet the top, without sticking out the side.

Looks like you could also just paint the exposed bracket part of the flare to match the flat black and be done with it as well.

Or remove the flare. I know it's a personal thing but I think if you're serious enough to need sliders you need to bag the flares.

Flareless

If you wheel it hard enough the flare will remove themselves. Especially wheeling at night with a H2 leading. ...... right??
