So to follow up on this thread. I went with the Dobinsons IMS all around. They are roughly $300 a corner, not the best, far from the worst.

It isn't fair to compare them to the OME that were beaten to death, and it's hard to remember how harsh the OME was in like 2018 when I got them, but these seem to be exact what I wanted, and I think it's the ride a Land Cruiser should have. Took it down a dirt road and it smoothed everything out and the s***ty secondary road safe more pleasant too.

Couple pics of the old and new. The old ones didn't even rebound on one side anymore! The Dobinsons are definitely beefy.

Which model dobinsons shocks did you end up going with on the rear?

There is just the one option for the rear in the Dobinsons IMS, they don't make an extended length one for the rear, but it seems fine, as Jason said.

IMS all around is what I’m looking to go with to achieve a 2 inch lift. What other hardware do you have for accommodating this setup? I.e. diff drop, UCAs…

Thanks!

I have SPC UCAs and a Slee diff drop. They are required for the long travel front IMS shocks, according to Dobinsons.

Right, Thank you! I’m weighing my options for the extended travel vs not. I may go with the standard travel for now and just go with UCA’s and skip the diff drop..

I appreciate your response!

That sounds like a good plan, although the diff drops are probably a decent idea with lifts regardless to maintain a good CV angle. FWIW I also have the extended sway bar links, not sure if that has any bearing whatsoever!
