I just picked a my land cruiser, it has about 250k, some rust and a couple issues. First is the airbag light is on second is the climate control doesn't blow? Any common problems i should look at to solve these? Thanks for any support!
Justin

congrats--do a full baseline then repeat the mileage, enjoy:)

exactly

Base line:
If its a fluid, change it.
If the fluids run in rubber hoses, change the hoses too.
Don't forget the heater control valve on the firewall.

The AC fan is not working or it doesn't blow cold air?
Get yourself a FSM, it will include the diagnostics for the Airbag lights.

Whats fsm?
Factory Service Manual
Amazon product ASIN B00435HGS2
Don't waste your time or money on the Haynes book.

Unless you've got money to burn, you'll want to learn to do all the maintenance yourself.
Look up a couple of recent threads on "professional" shop work that's been competed wrong for peeps.

Oh and Welcome to MUD... :flipoff2:

Welcome to MUD !!

Baseline

Change all fluids so you know when they need to be changed in the future
Do front axle/knuckle rebuild/service if you don’t know its been done in less than 40K miles or you see sludge on the balls.
Potentially rear axle job
Change spark plugs and toyota wires
PCV valve and hose, vac hoses, radiator hoses, hose clamps.
PHH - Pesky Heater Hose
Check brake pads, Brake lines, calipers and rotors.
Fuel filter
Air Filter
Cooling system flush
Heater control valve on the firewall

This list can keep going depending on how deep you want to go.

Once you feel it is fully caught up, you can consider it baselined and then can schedule PM when its needed knowing its the right.
