I’m looking at a ‘97 40th anniversary edition (supposedly) and everything on it looks correct, but it is missing the badge by the shifter that says 40th and the number the truck is. I have two questions, one is there a place on the truck to find out what production number it was? Second, does someone make replacement badges with the correct numbers on them?

Thanks,
Jeff

I can't remember why, but some didn't come with the badge on the shifter console. Its still a 40th anniversary though!

The answer is no. The apron badges, floor mats, and console badge were added at the port…the only pseudo registration of the console badge numbers is a thread started on IH8MUD by @elmariachi, rest his soul.

Toyota did sell replacement center console badges, but they didn’t include serial numbers. @cruiserdan had/has one with the Toyota part number on the bag.

There are repos available, not sure if they can include a number.

In short, those center console badges (with numbers) were produced, distributed, and installed…with no official tie to the vehicle it was placed on (other than it was a 40th) and no record kept by Toyota.

Yup. Well put.
