Just wanting to show off the new roof rack. I haven't liked most racks I've seen as they are soo BIG, I don't have any welding skills and the RTT wasn't in the picture....well...fast forward....I got the new roof rack on, and I love it. it's a new rack from the team that brings you the custom mic holders(nakman), roof-rack clamps (groucho), and other nifty items. I think their site will be updated soon...

I love it...the clamps were modified to bring the rack closer to the roof line. here's a pic. I'll be at CM11 with this setup if anyone wants to see it in person.

Exactly what I am looking for. Details please. Where to get? Price?

blast it Cardinal who said you show that..

j/k.. I'm psyched you like the rack, I like mine as well.. this rack was designed to fit the 60, 80 and 100 series.. with specific towers to each body style. Yes I should have the site updated this weekend, with a lot more pictures, like this one:

Turbo: see the website for pricing. We'll have more towers for the 60 body after Cruise Moab... sorry 60 guys but we've been working hard and it's time for some extensive testing.

edit: and at this point I have no idea on shipping.. sorry! one thing at a time, and that's the next animal.. am open to ideas!

2 more questions. Are the modified clamps available for sale? How close is the bottom of the rack to the roof?

No modified clamps for a couple weeks, sorry, has to wait until after Cruise Moab. But distance is between 1" and 2" from the bottom of the rack to the roof, they're adjustable that 1" so depends on where you want to run it.

And sorry, still no info on shipping.. so local pickup/mudship from Denver for now.

more pics...

HAHA...You had me there for a moment, Nakman! the rack is pretty close to the roof, I'll measure tonight. it's probably a couple inches(??)

Here are couple more pics.

Got to check out the clamps on Rover67's 60 today. They look great. Just about the perfect height, not too tall. The racks look great also.

Heck yeah!

Looks great, man. And as long as you're passing out credits, you need to give props to rover67... a large portion of the brains behind these things.. ;)

You said it! sorry I missed ya' in that list, Rover67. There really is a lot of thought that went into the design of these racks and they are definitely built extremely well.

ON a side note, I've seen you in your 40 a few times this week during the commuting hours...you'd never pick me out, I've been stealth in the Subaru most days.

Ha! no problem!

Yeah I have been driving the 40 a lot since the 60 has been in the garage getting prepped for Cruise Moab. It's now officially ready to go as of last night.

I snapped a quick picture of what the low mounts look like on the rack on my truck. They adjust up and down quite a bit to be able to get a bit of space with the roof. You can get your hands in there to do Yakima clamps, ect., or they can be down pretty far to where the cross bars are about 1" from the high spot in the roof. They turned out perfect Groucho.

That is a beautiful rack. I really like how low profile it is. Have you ever considered doing something like this? I'm not even sure if it would make a difference.

x2 on the fairing Q, this rack is sooooo like what I am looking for but I'm dreading the mpg hit from a rack at all- would a fairing do any good??? Even 0.5 mpg savings is worthwhile on my 62;)
