Pics of full length?

dunno, i am sure i sound pessimistic having not owned a rack for the 80, but it looks kinda flimsy compared to the ARB or the outback racks. granted, different price point, fair enough.

interested in some more first hand reviews as they come

same here. I have the ARB and that thing is stout!! I just was looking at the mounting feet for the rain gutters and i don 't see how those would support a RTT plus weight of people up there.

That's pretty much how I felt about it (Quoted from earlier post)

The reason I have asked about the load ratings also applied to the RTT verion of the rack was that 300lbs is not THAT much especially if you take the weight of the RTT itself into consideration.

But I guess if an average RTT weighs 60lbs and if you weigh 180lbs that only leaves enough poundage for a small child or a super model.

I'm sure it's stout enough, but those legs/feet that attach to the raingutter look a bit too narrow for my liking (Maybe it's just the angle of the pics).

But hey, what do I expect for that good of a price...
I think it would be a great light/medium-duty rack, which would be sufficient for 90% of us anyway.
You can't have everything, right?

Just my ¥2.

Except I had thought about it and the average RTT probably weighs more than 60lbs, effectively making it a one-man tent.

But again, it would be a great light/medium-duty rack for most of our applications.

Hello Guys,

First I want to apologize for my delay in answering questions; we were not an official vendor on IH8MUD Forums

Attached are some pictures of the full length (48”wide x 82” long x 6” tall) LC80/60 Land Cruiser rack.
Also I have attached a few pictures of our “prototype” Jerry Can Holders for all of our racks.

In response to some questions about weight capacity, we have design our racks to withstand a static weight of 900lb. We use the latest analysis tools for our designs and we test them on the field under harsh conditions. We obviously need to recommend the factories roof weight limits on all of our products.

Guys if you have any questions in the future please feel free to contact us directly.

Cheers

I think it needs to be asked... price/availability?

And I am liking the prototype. The mounting system is MUCH better now.

I too would like to know price and availability of the full length rack.

i have this rack and so far it's held up pretty good. i just came back from a 1400 mile trip (MOAB) and couldn't be more pleased with it. Had it fully loaded and even stood on top of the rack while loaded and it never gave in. took it out on some trails at MOAB and had absolutely nothing to worry about.

yes I have inquired about this and talked to Sergio.. the one in cruiserref's pictures is the 80 specific roof rack which doesn't cover the sunroof.. he had 1 available last week for a great price for mudders.. please call him personally to get the pricing...their shop is located in vista,ca which is roughly 30 minutes south from where I am.

I really like these racks, especially the full size ones. My one problem is the fact that they mount so high, are they meant to sit above the stock roof rack? I would suggest to the mfg to make 2 sets of rack mounts, one for people who have the roof racks and one for people who do not OR whom plan to remove the stock racks for good. I would like to mount this up top for good and will be removing the stock rack and think it would look better sitting a bit lower than it shows in the pics above.

Its designed that way so you can wash your roof :flipoff2: lol.

Anybody know the price of the full length rack?

common guys.. its on page 2 of this thread.. full length 84" is $500 + 100 shipping

Sorry.

not really a good idea if you plan on using your sunroof in tilt mode.

Is 300lbs the actual limit??
That means that the tent and my wife need to slim down tot 20lbs to make this work.
It's a good thing i'm not at my football playing weight at 295... but that would mean i'd need to start going to the gym again and i'm allergic right now:D
