Hi All:

Brand new owner checking in here. I feel very fortunate to have found this beauty right in my own backyard, and now have it in my driveway. She's a 1995 w/ 195k (no lockers). All stock except for 2.5" OME lift. I had a white 1996 very similar to this that I sold back in 2007. I finally was able to fix that stupid mistake! My question is about the interior. You can see in the picture that it's velour-like cloth with wood trim. How unusual is this combo? I've personally never seen this type of cloth fabric. Just wondered if you all can shed any light. Maybe there are a lot of them, in which case at least I got to show off my new rig. Thank you! Scott

'95+ with cloth is a huge win, very desirable and rare. The "wood" was a port add on and relatively common, most take it off with a hairdryer and lots of f-bombs. Not sure anyone will know the numbers about how often the wood stickers/cloth were combined together but I've been wrong before.

Nice is right, my 97 is cloth as well and I love them.

Welcome to MUD and back to the 80. I agree that you found a beauty. The white is significantly cooler than the darker colors, especially in SoCal. Beautiful interior too. Lucky find.

I love white 80's...... That is a good looking rig

Sure was well cared for!
She's beautiful.

Wow! Fantastic looking rig! time to paint those center caps the right metallic silver and serenge the gold paint on the center logo! Cloth is fantastic. My guess is that the wood is a dealer add. I am not sure Toyota used that lighter shade on the LC. It is possible but not likely especially if it is a life-long souther california truck.

Wow! Now a 97 cloth is unheard of. Very rare. Can't imagine how completely pissed off the dealer was when that showed up on allocation. OUCH. it is a miracle it was not changed to leather at the dealership or upon delivery. Could have been a special order from the customer which was almost impossible to do in those days... or now.

Oh almost forget!
Welcome to MUD :flipoff2:

That wood / cloth combo is surely rare but the light wood is not the best look. I spent a big part of my day removing some of my wood trim, but I got lucky and found a near perfect match. I think I might even remove it and keep it austere inside. You can always buy new replacement wood kits.

I don't see why everyone hates the fake wood. I like it.

My Dad did legal work for Toyota and was able to get employee pricing so he ordered the truck that way... he went bare bones on the finish, cloth seats without the 3rd row, no sliding windows or tinted glass, but it’s triple locked. It hadn’t been driven in several years and I took it off my parents hands last year when they just wanted it out from under the carport. I couldn’t let them sell it. I didn’t need a 3rd cruiser but got her anyway. Lived it’s life in the desert of El Paso so zero rust but it does have scars from my dads driving in Mexico.

That’s a cleeeean looking truck. Great find. What are your plans?
Local mountain and desert trips mostly. I think my first addition will be the Wraptor 4K awning. If anyone else has attached one of these awnings to the stock rack, let me know how it went.
