Wow! Fantastic looking rig! time to paint those center caps the right metallic silver and serenge the gold paint on the center logo! Cloth is fantastic. My guess is that the wood is a dealer add. I am not sure Toyota used that lighter shade on the LC. It is possible but not likely especially if it is a life-long souther california truck.
The PO told me he had the caps and wheel "insets" painted. How do I find the correct metallic silver if I want to redo it?

Hi All:

Brand new owner checking in here. I feel very fortunate to have found this beauty right in my own backyard, and now have it in my driveway. She's a 1995 w/ 195k (no lockers). All stock except for 2.5" OME lift. I had a white 1996 very similar to this that I sold back in 2007. I finally was able to fix that stupid mistake! My question is about the interior. You can see in the picture that it's velour-like cloth with wood trim. How unusual is this combo? I've personally never seen this type of cloth fabric. Just wondered if you all can shed any light. Maybe there are a lot of them, in which case at least I got to show off my new rig. Thank you! Scott

Sweet truck! I love the Super White and the gray cloth manual seats are very rare on a 95+. No power seat gears to go out and have to replace. And the cloth came with the rubber steering wheel and shift knobs so they will never wear out either!

That wood is some sort of aftermarket kit installed at a later date. I dont think Toyota ever installed any wood in that color, at the factory, port or dealer. (the OEM Toyota wood kit is a dark brown walnut). Especially on a semi-"poverty pack" truck like that. Im actually kinda surprised they put the roof rack, running boards and spoiler on. But, Id remove that wood, it will look a lot better without it.

And if that was my truck, Id seriously consider getting some factory locking axles and swapping them in, or adding ARBs and maybe getting a factory dial switch? Thats just a rare truck and the only thing its missing is lockers. Or not, whatever, if you dont need them or plan on using them. It would complete that truck though.

You probably already know, but the FULL TIME 4WD logo is on the wrong side, gotta do something about that ASAP. Im wondering if that truck has had some paintwork at some time? Belongs on driver side tailgate, below the Toyota sombrero logo.

And pop those center caps off and just spray them with any sort of auto parts store metallic silver. They will match the wheels a lot better. Wheels look good.

Nice truck!

Thank you for the insights! Yes, the PO said that one of the rear quarter panels was repainted, so maybe the tailgate too. I didn't even notice the badge being in the wrong place!

As for the lockers, that indeed is something I will consider. Without doing a search, I assume there are good threads here about sourcing factory locking axles vs. ARB, and how to go about that?

I would go to an large auto store and browse the Duplicolor finishes. They will have several metallic silver finishes that will approximate the original vs the dark gray they are painted. If that is not a good option they are available new / OEM the dealer or there are China import non-OEM options on the bay. I am getting ready to refinish mine so I will let you know if I find a good shade.
