@benc or anyone else, any thoughts on how to deal with this bit hanging down? Worried about the goodies this will collect.

Pretty sure I just removed the dust guard around the reservoir, and then painted it black.

For anyone sort of on the fence (I think I looked at these for @ 2yrs)...

- The instructions are OK...they are not detailed but they are a great roadmap. I think you get replacement bolts now that replace your existing bolts on the underside of the frame which means you no longer have to use the tow hook on the right side. I used the existing bolts as per the pdf. However I do have 4 nice looking bolts left over. Maybe I'll get around to it / maybe not.

FYI - if you cut the bumper tabs 1/2" on the inside of the frame channel - grab that 1/2 with a vise grip and bend it to the outside of the frame you'll expose the weld you need to cut free. A big screwdriver stuffed in there after a pass really splits it open and makes it easy.

The cross drilling - those holes very are close to the factory locations. I thought a bit about not drilling it. The bumper lined perfectly - no shims, brackets lined up 1mm of difference Left to Right, gap lined up naturally right at the top of roll formation of the front bumper reinforcement and carries over to the quarter panel. (His jigs are perfect).

- I did this myself. It took me @ 7 hours with a parts run for drill bits.

That all said - connecting the bullet style LEDs and LED foglights to my existing blinker and foglight connections is a mystery to me and was not covered in the pdf.

Any help on that part?

TIA

We definitely need to u

Yes, we certainly could use an update on the installation instructions! On the lx the fogs and bullet lights can be tied in at the bumper where the factory lights tie in. This will require cutting off the factory plugs and using butt connectors to tie the new plugs to the factory circuit. Same for the fogs on the landcruiser. That being said most tie the bullets to the running lights on the land cruiser since the blinkers are located in the corners

Sorry for the late response. Unfortunately not on here often anymore with how slammed we have been.
Yes, the factory frame horn ends need to be cut. While a bit dated there is a PDF on the website for the installation instructions.
We typically use and recommend the comeup seal gen2 12.5 rs. If the winch and bumper are purchased together we provide the relocation bracket for the control now which will mount it inside the bumper.

Does anyone have photos of the bracket for the controller mounted? Photos or some details would be greatly appreciated!

Any group buy's happening right now or does anyone know if Ben will have a Black Friday discount this year? (does ordering a front/rear bumper count as 2 on a group by? In the past Ben offered free powder or discounted shipping for Black Friday, can that discount be used twice for a 2 bumper order?) I've been watching the Dissent website prices and all of Dissent threads here on mud about a price increase so I can place my order before that but it looks like I lost this waiting game because it looks like the prices increased recently.

I wish there was, I just ordered mine yesterday. Went for pickup option so I can make a good excuse to get a quick vacation in NorCal and pick it up in 12-16 weeks.

I took advantage of their Black Friday sale (free shipping) if you bought a front bumper and a winch.
