I'm from NoVA and I know you're going to go insane if you don't get to test out CRAWL at some point! You might have to hit up Rausch Creek in PA to have some fun. I'm happy for you to have an LC, but like my Jeep Rubicon-owning brother in NoVA, I'm also sad for you.
I see they have added new trails to RC park. Been there with a stock fj couple of year back and had fun plus not too far from nova. Am close to dulles

Where in NoVA are you? I've been looking for a good powder coating / wheel refinishing shop, all the places I called wanted over $200 per wheel.

My friends at Iron Pig tell me they use Advanced Coating Systems in Fredericksburg, VA. ACS has a large blast booth and oven and I am told do great work. I haven't used their services yet and have not spoken with them on pricing, so you will need to google them and give them a call.

Hope you only flushed with power steer fluid. Dealer used a cleaner on my 100 series and it started leaking within 10k miles

Sorry I've been MIA - thanks for the heads up! I believe I saw your thread mentioning this a few weeks back and made sure no cleaner was used when we flushed PS fluid! I was VERY adament about it after I saw what happend with your LC>

Thank you!!! I travel a good bit for work so I won't have to commute it in it too ofiten however I'm dying to get on some off-road trails soon. Just attended a bachelor party in a cabin out in the Shenandoah valley outside of Harrisonburg... it was a bit in the woods so there was a little "off-roading" however it was more of a tease than anything

Wow - thanks for letting me know. I haven't inquired much yet since I'm still 50/50, my gf is against it because she likes the contrast with the silver...

Quick question - Has the gas tank/gauge been discussed in this forum?

I know the LC has a 24.6 gallon gas tank but when I'm on "empty", it only fills up to ~18.9. It gets a bit frustrating knowing there's more fuel in there especially on longer trips especially since I'm often traveling on the weekends for football games in the fall.

Is there any way to edit the gas gauge? And why did Toyota design to design the gauge this way?

Thanks!

Yes, known issue if you look at it that way. For a few generations of LC's the low fuel light comes on with several gallons remaining unlike other models/makes. Do a search, it's been discussed in detail.

Congrats on the LC!
