Ok so I just bought this yesterday. I know what it has. But Im more of a Land Cruiser guy. Not a Land Cruiser with Chevy parts in it. I need to crawl around it more. I know the last owner before the guy I bought it from built it. Last name of Kidwell. Near Sacramento.

I hope Im in the right section. Anyway 2 other questions. Tech questions. Im lazy I should have looked it up online. But how do I know what Auto trans I have? Its a GM trans. Skid plate is covering trans pan and transfer case. And how do I know what Axles I have. Im guessing Dana 60 rear and 44 front. If anyone has any info on this rig It would be great to hear from you.

My Xray vision is on the fritz. We need actual pics of the diffs, tcase, trans & maybe engine. Most 60's are 8 lug.

OK I found the Marking on the rear. It is a Dana 60. Cant find anything on front.

Trans I jut need to drop the Skid Plate. Was mostly hoping someone would know more about this rig personally. Thanks again for the help.

Looks like a dana 44. Can't tell if it's a high pinion or low pinion. 6 lug low pinion is probably out of a waggy, probably a later version because of driver side drop.

Look like half-ton (Dana 44 or similar) axles to me. 6-bolt usually equals half-ton. 8-bolt = 3/4 or 1-ton. Are those disc brakes in front?

How to identify GM automatic trans

Oh and BTW cool rig! Love the color and the low metal-tech fenders

I saw this rig for sale when I was looking at mine, wondered where it ended up. Looks cool

Yes disk brakes all the way around. YES!!! That GMC logo is gone as soon as my TOYOTA badge gets here from Spector. WTF was he thinking?? More pics to come tomorrow. I will take skid plate off and take pic of Trans oil pan. Great color I love the orange. I need some Black steel wheels tho. Aluminum wheels are not working for me.

Ok so same post chane of question. Does anyone know who built this thing? Who ever built it did an AMAZING job. Someone has to know if this guy is still around.

looks well built, PM, whitey45, mudrack and Orangefj45 and see if they have seen it before, mudrack is near sac and may have seen it and may have some more leads on who built it..

I know Gary and Georg. I know they are busy and didnt wanna bug them with stupid crap. I dont know Whitey45. I will send a note. Thanks for the info and help.
