Myself, Alan and Mary have decided to bring two positions in the voting rank. Due to the fact that our club is growing we need more people helping with the day to day operations of the club. The two new positions are as follows and will have voting rights in respect to club matters. This year the officers have decided to appoint these members but at following annual events they will be an elected position.
Events Officer: This person will be responsible for planning all events held by the club. Working with TLCA to help sponsor events as well as making sure club members are notified of such events.
Safety & Membership Officer: This person will be responsible for safety related to vehicle safety on our outings as well as coordinating qualified individuals in first aid and vehicle recovery. They will also help in keeping new member involved in our club and work on new avenues to gain new members.
I would like all of us to welcome JP as the new Events Officer and Chuck as the Safety and Membership Officer.
JP as most of us know has done a tremendous amount to grow our club events. He deserves to have a right to have a vote in the direction of the club.
Chuck with his skills of being able to take charge of a situation and to get it done along with his CPR training made him an easy fit into this role. His outward going personality and ability makes him perfect for the membership side. MLK at Tellico this year with him taking charge of helping extract a vehicle off the side of the road using 3 winches convinced me he was good for this job.
This now will give us a 5 officers which is perfect on a voting standpoint.
I also wanted to thank everyone in the club for their participation. I look forward to seeing new members at our future events and meeting.
