Ok I may not be the sharpest rock in the "pile"...

I'm having a little challenge is be able to determine under the new software which threads have new posts or where there is a new posting/thread? Any settings I need to look at? or what?

Threads with new posts are a little more bold. The issue is that the border between the stickies and the regular area is not very pronounced... neither is the bolding.

I do see a little red tag "new" on the main topic discussion titles (ie in the FJ 60 Section)..would be nice if the same tag would show up at the thread and topic level. I have noticed the "bold"...but as noted its not very clear to me or maybe thats just my perception.

I know I would like a easier to see notification as to new content to a thread... the semi bold yellow vs. the bold yellow... not easy to track in my view.

The little blue dot out to the left of the thread also means it has new posts. I've started looking for that more than the bold.

thanks...I did not notice the blue dot previously... gotta be on the lookout.

I'm not too fond of it myself. I've been using the ih8mud from my phone internet safari, the app version I don't like. It thinks I'm a new member, lol, and although I'm not a hardcore veteran, I at least have several hundred posts. The regular safari version seems to be better than the old one...

Cheers

I can't stand to do much on a phone...and only used teh android app when I had to, otherwise I like the real estate on a computer with a large screen. I'm sure the new version of the forum will grow on us after a while.

I just learned how to "read"....you can organize "new threads" by simply clicking in the top bar at the start/top of the general forum. That way you see all new posts.

can you access the clubhouse area with the android mud app? I know you formerly could..but I just loaded the app back on my phone and I can't get "here" now..?

I gave up on the mobile app. I couldn't post to it, not even sure I actually got the right app downloaded.

I have been using the mobile theme on chrome and though I am not as versed at it yet, at least the pictures always load...

I use the Chrome browser and just create a bookmarks folder named MUD. Any bookmarks I create on my desktop PC sync with bookmarks on my phone so I don't have to dig through Mud's menus. My bookmarks on the phone look like this.

so far with teh new mud softare and using the android app...I've not seen how to get to the clubhouse area.... not a huge deal to me but would be useful on travel or coordination reasons at times...on trail ride trips..

Woody's mentioned it in the help section...Best to create your bookmarks or start "watching" a thread from your home PC. Then you can find them easier on your phone's browser. He's had too many headaches trying to manage an iPhone/Android app that he doesn't have much control over (contrary to his website). He designed the new website to scale proportionally on your Android browser.

Also, if viewed in landscape mode on your phone, more menu items are visible. Then you can switch back to portrait mode for scrolling.

I may resort to using the web browser on the phone.... I've got a table now...so maybe I'll just haul it around with me on trips to make things eaiser. Web browsing on the cell sux.

Thanks
