Hello everybody. Well there's my FJ. It's an 07 TRD automatic thats pretty much stock except for Bilstein 5100's on the third notch in the front and 5160's in the back. I bought it last September with a new set of the stock 265 BFG A/T's that are on it right now. I ordered a Toytec Ulti 3in and Total Chaos UCA's friday so right now I'm just waiting not so patiently on the UPS man . I plan on getting a set of 33's in the next week or two but I just can make my mind up on what to get. As for me I'm 16 and in high school. I work for Thompson Industrial Services during the summer but can't work there part time so I bag groceries during the school year. This is my first car and I'm completely in love with it and i can't wait to meet everybody and see some of your rigs! Oh and if the picture worked (this is my first time posting a picture so I'm not sure) any suggestions for tires? I'm keeping the stock rims by the way.
I thought this thread was closed...must be thinking of one of the others
My name is Joel. I'm a native of Greenville but moved to Northern Cali to go to school...ended up on the 10 year plan because it was that much fun to live there. Sticker shock on housing so I knew I would eventually have to leave. Tried to road/mtb ride and hike every trail I could while I was there. Got the Terminator to sign my diploma then I had to grow up...I'm now a web developer and married with 2 boys (1 and 3). I used to ride a GS but it wasn't getting use after the kids so I reluctantly sold it but happily got a 40 so we could all enjoy some adventures together. That's it in a nutshell...I look forward to UC events and gaining knowledge from all you guys as this is my first cruiser, this site is awesome as is the depth of experience on these trucks. And here's the pics. It's a 72....sort of.
That 40 took my breath away and I compleatly forgot to mention that the FJcruiser in black was a beauty too!!! Sorry I'm just an old cruiser nut the new stuff not so much but it's good looking.
Thanks for the compliments everybody. I'll post some pics somewhere next Tuesday after the lift goes on. Thats a nice looking 40 jbsmish54. Looks like it could have rolled out of the showroom last year!
Really nice cruisers! BFGs are nice but pricey. The KM2 mud terrains are awesome, but the all terrains are great too. It depends how much wheeling you wanna do and what kind. They both wear well. Ive got the km2s on my 80 and they have worn pretty well. The ats are on my jeep and they will last a long time but are not supposed to be as good in the slimey stuff. Hope to see y'all soon!
I felt the same way when I found it. Of course I can't take credit for the restore but I have a lot of respect for how far it came. I do have the un-restored hard top and it's ROUGH! I'll have my hands plenty full just maintaining it and a big smile everyday I drive it...the kids too...they love the wind blowing in their faces.
