I've got one of these bumpers as well, but I have yet to weld it up. Hoping to get started on that in the short future.

Super high quality stuff. Highly recommended!

Aight I just ponied up the cash for membership so I guess I should say hey. I've actually been hanging out in the low country section for a little while. Sooo I am DDing a FZJ80 and ripping apart a 73 FJ40 for a wheeler. Fairly new to the yota world but I've been beating on 4x4's for a little more then a minute. Umm other then that I'm a fireman/emt and live just outside of myrtle beach. Maybe if luck and money will have it the 40 should be together by this spring and I'll see some of you's on the trail. -Rob

Welcome Rob! Got some pics of your rides?

Hello - Subscribed a few months ago and just now posting to the newbie thread. Previously I was a Land Rover guy but got tired of getting railroaded by the local stealership for service/repairs. Had a Tacoma once with zero issues so I decided to go with my first LC about about 5 months ago. Really wanted an 80 but decided to go with the 100 for size and the V8 towing power.

So since day one I have been throwing money at this thing to make it trail worthy. Had to do the regular maintenance items first like the timing belt, fluid changes, new plugs, etc. since it had 150k on it and not much documentation on service history. Once the maintenance items were checked off, I had ACC in Atlanta install an Ironman lift, Slee diff drop, Ironman Commercial bumper, and Warn Winch. I purchased some larger tires (35" Duratracs) and some MT sliders that I have not installed yet. Last but not least, I had it buffed out because the black paint was loaded with swirls, which they were able to remove a majority of. Also painted the grey trim on the sides black to match the paint.

So I am just about ready to join in on the fun. Would like to make it to Gulches next weekend but I am travelling on business to Park City UT next week, so getting a hall pass from the wife will be a major challenge. Believe me, I will try though.

On another note, been a Greenvillian for a while.... went to high school here, college in Georgia, and have lived in Charlotte and Cleveland OH over the last 10 years. Been back in Greenville for over a year now and plan to stay here for as long as possible.

Here is a pic.... I apologize for it being a poser shot but I just picked it up today from the detailer. This is the last time it will ever look like this!
