Hello I8Mud. I’m a new member and excited that I was introduced to this great group of like minded LC owners. I own a 2019 white 200 series and look forward to learning from you all.
My first topic of interest revolves around the steering wheel. I purchased a slightly used vehicle but the previous owner must have worn very sharp rings as the only sign of wear on the car is my sterling wheel. Of course Toyota quoted me $1300 for a OM wheel. Does anyone have another idea that will still allow the heating function to work?

Cheers

Welcome! Car looks great. Do you have paint protection or some sort of film on the rear bumper by chance?

The faux wood trim on the steering wheel is junk and wont hold up, even if you're not Liberache. There is an OEM all-leather steering wheel available that some have switched to. I think it's kind of spendy. Or you can get a stitch-yourself leather kit that looks pretty nice if you do a good job of it. I think Loncky is the brand. A search will turn up more details. You can use the Ih8mud search function (top right of your screen) or you might get better results using google and including ih8mud.com in your search criteria.

Welcome, truck looks great! Rear bumper repainted, or is that just a trick of the lighting?

I wonder if refinishing yours is an option?

I ordered a custom one that's fully wrapped in leather and cost me about half of that. Very reputable guy on IG. This is what I have coming in. Flat bottom wheel with perforated leather on sides and smooth leather on top and bottom with blue stitching.

No in that photo it’s smudge from the snow. I blacked out the chrome and paint matched the chrome on the door.

This is epic. Does it have the capability of attaching the the heating element? Let me be honest, I use it twice a year when hunting in low temps but it’s there so why not use it.

Can you please share their contact information? I’ll make sure to tell them you referred me.

Of course. https://www.instagram.com/elvin_6188

He can do heated or non-heated.

He's made a lot of CF things for me and my friends in the Lexus community. He's based in Singapore so you'll need to allow some extra time but generally should get your order in 3-4 weeks. You can tell him moltenrcf referred you.

I opted for no heating option even though my OEM one has it. I just never use it and it saved me I think $80

That was the first thought but the price and headache of getting another wheel during the process, outweighed the benefit. Thanks for the idea.

Bumper is just smudge from the road that day. I can’t decided what I want to do for bumpers yet. Cheers
