Hi all,

Long time member here (‘96 100 series LC, ‘13 200 series LC) but recently sold my Land Cruiser. I’ve been regretting it ever since and decided it was time to get back home. Change of course this time as I decided to try an LX. Recently bought a gently used 2020 LX.

First step was upgrading the wheels and tires. I’m not rock crawling but need an AT with snow traction rating. After a ton of research and reading the forum, I took the leap on a set of 20” Fuel Vapor (+35) wrapped in 285/60 Toyo AT3s.

After install there was a good amount of rubbing on the front wheel well and the front mud flaps. I did the sensor lift and removed the mud flaps then did some heat gun work on the front wheel well. So far I’m clearing all around. Going back to for an alignment tomorrow.

For reference here are the sensor lift gains (measured from ground to fender):

Dr Front: before 34 15/16”, after 35 7/8”
Pass Front: before 35 3/8”, after 36 3/8”
Dr Rear: before 36 1/8”, after 36 1/2”
Pass Rear: before 36 1/8”, 36 5/8”

Here are some pics, first one is oem wheels and tires in high setting. The next three are all after the sensor lift:
