Hi I have just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself.
I'm a retired IT and Communications engineer and have serviced bikes and cars for about half a century.
I owned an 80 series turbo diesel for 13 years and passed it on to my son in 2013.
Still going strong with 470,000 kms - but has been well maintained over the years.
My current vehicle is a 2013 200 series turbo diesel that has been rock solid up until a couple of weeks ago when the Entry system failed (Seperate post). I have undertaken all standard maintenance and just about to tackle an oil change for the auto transmission.
I can generally fix most stuff and hate being ripped off by dealers so I have recently invited in a couple of scanning tools to maintain my old BMW 540 (1999) and the 200. (Launch X431 V2.0)
I am hoping to gain some knowledge and advice from forum members on maintenance issue and happy to contribute where I can.
