Hello!
My name's Tim. I'm a long-time lurker and new member. Purchased my first LC--a 2000 UZJ100 with 232,000 miles ( ) just after Christmas 2018. My family and I have been long-time first-gen Sequoia owners (and Toyota owners in general). I happened upon this Hundy parked on the side of the road with a for-sale sign. My long-suffering wife graciously agreed to sell her 3 y/o Ford Flex for a 19 y/o Cruiser and get rid of a car payment in the process.
So far, I am in the process of baselining fluids and grease. I had new tires put on (Toyo Open Country C/Ts, 285-75/16s) to replace the badly-worn, mismatched tires on when I bought it, and serviced the front wheel bearings this weekend (thanks to 2001LC for the excellent threads, pics, and videos on the process).
I definitely understand what all the fuss is about with these rigs. I love it!
