Finally!
Replaced the horrible stock horns the 80 came with. We all know how sh!tty they sound right?
Went to the local wreckers, and asked to rummage through their selection of horns. Most were newer, and I was hoping for an older Caddy or something. I finally settled on a a pair of 2-wire horns that I thought might show the most promise considering the selection...
2002 Chrysler 300M
I just wired up a new fused circuit that used the stock horn wiring to trigger a relay that sends juice directly to the new horns.
Jeezbus!
RICH, WARM ..... LOUD
Not sure what an air horn sounds like, but next to stock this seems to be a step in that direction.
If you haven't change your horn, DO IT .. you'll love it. Plus it may be a safety feature you're overlooking.
Peace,
TY
PS: If anyone is interested maybe I can figure out how to post an audio file. I guess I could what .. make a movie with the camera, and then strip out the audio? Delete the video? Pics of the install on demand as well .. ain't rocket science, but you'll see placement - which is slightly lower than stock.
