whats up all, just bought a 78 FJ40 pretty much stock for now and found this site shortly after. I added mini truck p/s right away thanks to all the good info from the site. Plan to ad an HFS 4" with 33x10.50 soon (i gotta s:censor: can those sedan tires asap) . she will be my DD with a fair amount of trail time. Any suggestion or thoughts on lifts?

Nice looking rig. I think that you are headed in the right direction........ Or you could always get some gold spoke rims and some spinners to go along with the tires.

Welcome to Mud :flipoff2:

Welcome! The Landcruiser community is a good one to be part of.

Nice starting point! now pick it up off the ground a bit!
And unless I'm mistaken, that isnt diamondplate, its primer over
body work so we don't always know what we are talking about
but there are enough "Lifers" here to always get a good answer
or hard to find info.

Once again welcome to the crew

What's up with drivers side view mirrors? There's a better way of keeping side view mirrors for when your top is off. Welcome to mud nicest color!

how much of a lift are you looking for? what are you going to use the rig for? my dearly departed lemon had a 4" skyjacker. it was a daily driver and medium wheeler and i was very pleased. i recently met the guy who's got my springs now and they're still doing great 14 years later.

Thanks for the welcome its my daily and medium wheeler once she is lifted. Lookin for 4'' lift and 2.5'' shackles. Ive been lookin' hard at HFS. The drivers xtra mirror is already gone thanks to strong wind storm and no door stops! It was primer in the pic but diamond plate now that will be comin off soon. Gonna check out skyjacker and TPI.

Nice find my friend. Don't mind the flak over the height, diamond plate, primer, mirror etc. We all start some where and all have dealt with the dreaded PO leftovers. Welcome to MUD! Be sure and posts some pics as you progress.
