My 2006 GX470 has bad headlights, not very bright. The glass is fogged over. I sanded and refinished and it helped a bit, but there is fogginess inside and it really didn't come out as well as I hoped. Thought about replacing the bulbs with something better, or just replacing the entire headlamps. Anyone running aftermarket headlamps? Any recommendation for a brighter bulb?

Just order some new OEM from carparts.com and toss in some LEDs. Cheaper and good

I have sports on my 03. They go right in.

Does the overseas market use the same plastic lenses or do they use glass?

I think all options for the GX470 will use a plastic lense, quality may vary from OEM to aftermarket.

Not really. OEM seem to hold up the best. Depot lights typically last a year or two and get cracked.

Xenon Depot Xtreme HID w/ 4300K Philips bulbs is excellent in the low beams.

Got these from Car Lighting Source for low beam:

B2 LED Headlight Bulbs Kit w/Clear Arc Beam H11 100W 12000LM × 1

And these from Amazon for my high beams:

VoRock8 R2 COB 9005 HB3 8000LM LED Headlight Conversion Kit, High Beam Headlamp Hi Beam Bright Headlights, HID or Halogen Head Light Replacement, 6500

Both light up the night! Makes the headlights on my wife’s ‘15 Outback look like one watt candles!

I just ordered the sport tinted set from Amazon for 130 each I'll let you know once I get them. Cant beat the price if they go bad in few years get new ones Haha just my opinion. I will post pics once in.

My depot sports have been in for 4 years, 3 of them in Arizona. I have cracking on the pass side only, and it’s not bad.
