Hello everyone,

This is my second post. If any of you recall, I was the guy that had the green and red coolant mixed. Well, I went back and the Mech did a complete flush (I thought that's what he did last time??) Anyway, he said he did not know that there was a rear heater, and that is why all the green coolant did not come out. It's nice and red now, so no issues....I hope

So, here is my new (TO ME) LX450. Not sure if I got a good deal on it or not, but I had been looking for a while and this one was clean with only 108K miles on it. So far, I have changed coolant and all the gearbox fluids. It runs great, so I'll just look at the FAQ and see what other PM needs to be done to stay one step ahead of murphy.

Nice rig. Welcome to the pink panties club and welcome to Mud:flipoff2: Do you have lockers?

Purdy!

Welcome!:flipoff2:

New

Nope, no lockers. Of all the trucks that I looked at, I think only one had locking diffs. It was not in great shape, so I passed.

Thanks, the paint still looks nice. It was about $100.00 bucks for a power flush and fill with Toyota red.

Rod,
Nice truck. We use the term 'baselining' and there are a few threads discussing what can be done on a new-to-you truck to be sure you have trouble-free miles ahead.

I cannot recall the authors but one of the treads that I remember was by IdahoDoug so make sure you look for that one when you do your search and let us know if you are having problems finding something. We are always happy to help those that show some initiative in learning how to use the resources we have here in the 80-Section.

SCHWEET..Welcome........:flipoff2:

Nice truck, but you aren't fast enough to stay ahead of Murphy.

:flipoff2:

To get hazed properly you should have done your "pesky heater hose" with that flush................:flipoff2: Welcome to mud.

Let the Mods begin.

Update

So, just as I am introducing my new rig, the CEL light comes on. So much for staying ahead of murphy. Anyway, I have searched the FAQ's and have come up with a simple plan......find out what the error code is and fix it. Thanks FAQ's!!

welcome, have you pm'ed the headgasket yet?

No on the head gasket. Not even sure where to start with that, guess I'll check the FAQs first.

update

So, this is the code that my LX 450 is showing, P0116. Did some reading and found out what it all means. SInce it has to o with the coolant/sensor/thermostat, I wonder if Toyota messed something up on my 450 hen hey did a coolant flush and fill last week? Bottom line, i find it strange that I did not have any lights, I get the coolant changed then a week later my CEL is on. Lots to read on the FAQ's, just have to read up and get it fixed.
