Hello Trollhole. I tried to PM you, but I don't believe it went through. I am interested in a carb for my 1970 FJ40 with an F engine. Please let me know how to proceed with a purchase. Thank you!

When will the carbs ordered in April be shipped out? I haven't received any shipment notification from paypal yet and paid for mine in early April.

Also, can you let me know the estimated shiping time to Arizona?

Thanks!

4 Days to Arizona. I'm expecting to have most if not all carb orders done this week. Yours most likely will go out tomorrow since It is already finished.

Most of them are going today. Only ones left in May and prior are the ones with a return tap. I hate that job and it takes quite a bit of time. Hoping to have those done by friday.

Also as a note I'm discontinuing doing the return tap on any other units I sell from here on out. You will have to bend my arm to get me to do that job. You really don't need a fuel return on these carbs.

Could you go into a little more detail on this: Can you just cap the return line or remove it completely? Thanks.

You can just cap it. Either at the tank on 79 and earlier 40s and 55s. It's just not needed with my carb unless your smog restriction won't allow. 79 and later cruisers have a fuel pump that has the fuel return end there. So if you really want to keep some sort of fuel return you could always go to the later style fuel pump.

Thanks. That's what I thought. I see it looks like my stuff shipped. Im pretty excited. I guess Id better get busy and get the manifolds back on and the front end put back together so I can take my new carb for a test drive. Oh the fun never ends.

Has mine shipped yet? I haven't got a shipment notification. I ordered on 4/28 and didn't buy the return line tap.

As of Today all Carbs are shipped or on the dock to be shipped. Also if you get a chance snap a photo or two of the install. I always like to see what people have done.

trouble installing

I just got mine Monday...thanks! But it does appear a bit different from my original aisan, and it actually doesn't seat properly because the egr connection is in the way of a part that comes out the front (when installed). My old carb didn't have this.

Here's some pictures and some questions I have...maybe you could help me out :)

Take your cable end(the lead ball on the end of your carb and cut it off. The end goes into this fitting. Like this.

Cut that off leaving a 1/4 inch or so. I leave it on when I ship because some carb applications it isn't in the way. Plus later down the road if you wanted to modify the carb to accept A/C throttle up you can use this feature. But for you just cut it off.

That's the choke breaker. My carb doesn't have one. It's not needed to operate my carbs.

Hope that helps. If you have any troubles call me I'm always willing to help. 8644140563 marshall
