Yes kind of.

The carb for the mechanical linkage 2f's will stay at 225 shipped.

The carb for the f motors with the cable will go up by 40 bucks. No way around it. That being said there are two pieces that have to go with the cable kit that I just caanot make and the people who have them think they are made out of gold (Lokar).
 
Is it possible to get a later carb (for my '77 2F) with cable linkage (a la my '69 FJ40)? I was under the impression this was doable, but now not sure....

If so I assume that the extra $40 is due to the linkage assembly, so for my application it would be $265?
 
I'm running a Aug of 75 carb now that I modded nicely for the cable on my F engine so the 2F carb will work for me. BTW Lokar is insane on its prices.

I feel your pain. Well good news is it has made it through customs. Bad news is the stupid shipping company is going to sit on it for at least a week before they are going to ship it down to Charleston from New York. So I'm hoping that I will have it late next week. Next time I'll put it on my own container as the shipping time I thought I would have saved in shipping it asap LTL is about worthless. My other container is due at the same time. lol. Sorry for all the headaches.

Not at this time as I'm out of town until Sunday and the brackets are being finshed this week. Wwat I can tell you is this.

The bracket I fabbed is almost identical to the cable brackets that came on the early 70's cruisers. Meaning the stock cable fits right to it. Only difference in it and the original cable bracket is the cable hole is shifted over a half an inch and bent a little different to make it fit and function better. They are made out of stainless steel. The other part which connects to the end of the cable is from Lokar. Not happy with the Lokar part not that it doesn't work well but just that it is expensive ($25). Basically you cut the lead end off the stock cable and attach the Lokar connector to the end.

The cable brackets kit for the carb is going to be 45 dollars. As much as I would like it to be included in the $225 price until I can find an alternate souce for the brackets and connectors it will have to stay. I'm not making any money off them.

Also I'm offering a service for those who want the fuel return added to the carb. It's not needed but if you want it to look as stock as possible I will drill and tap the return in the carb for an additional 25 dollars.

Good news is carbs are due in tomorrow. I'm out of town until Sunday but will start shipping those that don't need any extra mods out on Monday.

Best news I've had in weeks. I'm still in for a carb for my '77 2F (no return line needed) and a cable conversion bracket pls.

No but I have found a new supplier and a better product. Have an order placed and will have them coming on the next shipment.

Great to hear from you, do you have a guestimate when you will be able to ship ones that need (want) the fuel return line ? Not that i am impatient or anything. :o Still owe you the difference from 225 to new price.

Your price will be the same and I will do what I can to get your modified carb out to you next week. You owe me nothing. I owe you a carb with a fuel return.
