Hard to dimple 3/8 alm plate

3/8" is a little over kill dont cha think?

It was SC 80 and tested in AZ with and without skid plate and no change but as for SC temp the lights were removed during the summer time because they did make a difference.

I came from a Tacoma to the FZJ80 and was always a fan of the Schrockworks bumpers. They're local to Houston, and I've thought about taking the 80 to them and having them fab up something custom just for me. I love their 'expo' design. Take a look.

Can't wait to see it! Suggestion - angle the bullbar tubing slightly forward vs having it vertical. Gives it a sleeker profile vs looking like you bolted a cattle gate to your rig.

Random thought of the day: You'd think the expo guys a more minimal bumper since they don't go wheeling and the crawler guys would want more protection since they're the ones bashing into stuff. amirite?

Looking forward to this! While I like my ARB, something that looks better with my Slee rear bumper would be nice. Their bumper (and your current one) are too minimalist for me. Will the drier protection be something you add on or will all of them come with it? Mine still needs protection but there are plenty of people who have relocated it and wouldn't need it.

How about weight and air flow considerations? Something that keeps the openings like in the stock bumper but allows a low mounted 12k winch but doesn't weigh more than 100 lbs without the winch.

Do you have your drier in the stock location? It's hard to tell if the bumper covers it or if you've relocated it.

I like it.... I Like it Alot! I like the Idea of bull bars going out to the headlights... I want something that will slay deer, and not my grill and headlights.

These all sound like good ideas, here are a few more that come to mind.

1. Be able to accept an M12000 big body winch.
2. wings that won't crumple
3. option of full bull bar or center bull bar only.
4. pre fab mount behind bumper for say a 5 gallon viair tank.

A warn M12000 winch is overkill and should be reserved for full sized and loaded trucks. It also weights 130lbs
There are much better options out there from Warn, both premium and entry level.

OOOOHHHH. VERY NICE LINES!. Here comes a critic, can you angle the wing ends up, or extend the bumper to provide some visual continuity with the flares? Would also be nice to help protect them as well. The drawback is I don't know how it will bugger up the design since it looks so good now...

I think you have the lines for the brush guard right on the money!

One thing I'm not feeling is the 1/2" plate that sticks out. How about a thick heavy duty shackle mount/recovery point welded to the winch plate? Some guys like to leave the d-rings attached and with the 1/2" plate it just looks weird.

Or some integrated tow hooks like on the Heeps?

I like it. +1 on going wide enough to cover flares. Also like the idea of some frenched fog lights, may be what you're showing with the first pic

I had some Shrock stuff on a former Nissan pickup...good stuff, and well designed visually too.

That's all, no real contribution once again.



Is there room for an air tank and a winch? The skid plate being avail would be nice as an add-on purchase.

I'm thinking a Zeon 12S, lighter and smaller than the M12000
