I like the BenC design but can you bring the hoop over the lights around the corner a little? I also like that last one.

My vote is for the shorter bar in the last pic I posted....

What say you?

I like shorter too, don't really like the tubing outlining the entire front of the truck but don't listen to me as I'm not a potential customer, I ain't giving up my 4x4Labs :D

Thats the way I feel about it too.. but I'm here to serve.

unless you can bring the tubes around the headlights then it's better not having the full bull bar. It would not be much of protection and it will block the lights.

Bull bar being modular could be a real pain to make but a lot of people like them.

If you decide to go around the headlights please follow its lines , don't go the aoe way , the only thing i like about arb's is the brush guard ...

How about a back to basics look at it?

For the "Rock Crusher" you wanted a minimalist, rock crawling bumper. Minimalist, light weight, high clearance, lighting mounts, etc. Got that.

For the "Bull Crusher" you stated that you wanted a more expo type bumper. To me that means safety, maximum protection, good recovery points, security, lighting. Weight isn't as much of a concern and neither is clearance although they are obviously still issues.

What type of bar meets your objectives for an expo type bumper? For maximum protection and safety, I think it should be completely around the lights and at least up to the hood line. Something so that if you hit a deer or other vehicle it doesn't damage the vehicle (within reason). I think bars that go in front of the lights will be a safety issue (reduced headlight output and create shadows) and won't provide significantly more protection than just a stinger or hoop like the "Rock Crusher" has. I also think the full bars don't look as nice but that is the trade-off.

Personally, I like the looks of the small hoop the best (clean, utility, simple). I just don't think it meets the "expo" description the best.

Lets hear some more guys.... need your input.. 1200 views in 14 hrs someones bound to have an opinion this IS the internet... :flipoff2:

Good reply sir and I agree with you. I'll be starting one tomorrow and will be doing 2 different bull bar styles.. the large that goes above the lights, and the short that I drew in the last pic I posted. Both will be offered ... hey I aim to please.

I have to say, I love the arb that's on my truck for the looks. It may not be extremely heavy duty though. With that in mind, I also look at the TJM bullbar and the ironman and just don't like the proportions. It's a fine line, but I got faith you can get it done.

Slee original or something close. I am close to being able to pull the trigger and want one of those or a darn close clone/original masterpiece. Too many tubes reminds me of the jeep I owned. I still don't like that jeep or all the tubes. My opinion only, I piss people off without knowing it.

The TJM bumper on Slee Website is to "squar" even with round tubing. The ARB has softer corners and a bit of style, yet still gives the impression of a "tough" bumper. I like the triangular offset on the ARB, yet I appreciate the edges/wings on your design. I am in agreement that the tubes need to be above the lights or at least proportional to the curves. Very excited for your designs and passion for your build. I am surely interested to see prototype and final...then I will let the :princess: know that Daddy needs a new bumper for my tank;)

If I had some extra money right now I would volunteer in a heartbeat! After the first of the year I would be in a much better position.

As far as suggestions, how about something like this? More protection around the lights without obscuring them. Also, I agree with more beef in front of the winch...

Couldn't agree more. Bars need to just above the lights.
