I've been wanting a rear bumper for a while and I couldn't find one that I liked -- at a price I liked ;). I live near Charlotte NC and have heard good things about Carolina Truggies so I thought I'd get them a try. I spoke with Alex (BTW...great guy) we discussed what I was looking for and I agreed with what he thought about "our" design. I felt he really understood what I was looking for; so I thought it was a good fit. I probably would hae done a little "more" but I had a trip for last weekend planned and I was driving, so I needed the truck. They worked well around my schd.

The pics show a unfinished bumper, but it was power coated black. Overall, I'm very pleased and it handed my trip well. Check out those welds!

Enjoy the pics.

Beautiful concept... looks beefier than a good beefy taco !
and that is some nice welding job right there...

Nice 40th anniv BTW. Kinda give me a better idea on how it would it look on mine... My :princess: is Sage too ;)... East TN here !!

oh, before I forget, I see that the bumper still unpainted... Have you considered a matching paint job ( to match the trucks color ) ? :hhmm: I bet that would look sharp !

Those welds are beautiful. That first wheeling pic shows the rear bumper great!

Very nice!!! Can you please shoot a pick of the latch? Tks.

Very nice! So how much did Alex charge?
I've been wanting a rear bumper and yet have pulled the trigger....

It was around $1400. The latch is a T-handle screw in near the middle of the bumper and (not shown in the pics) there is a catch pin on the hinge that sets into the bumper to hold the swing out open. I'll try to get pics up later of the completed bumper, showing the latches.

Looks really good, especially the angle on the outer corners. Going into my folder of bumper ideas.

Most people like the ARB front bumper and we were tring to make it "match" the front as best as possible. I think it really worked.
