Fellows,
ive wandered through the searches looking for an explanation, no luck at present
at parking lot speed, i hear a clicking from the rear (like a rock in a tire tread), which will stop when pressing the brakes to slow down
Any thoughts or directions to look?

I would check shock and suspension bushings first. And make sure all the connections are torqued.
Then I’d check the brakes. Make sure the caliper bolts aren’t loose and the slide pins are greased. If all that checks out I’d look at the axle and drive shaft. Good luck chasing mystery noises is always an adventure.

2nd on checking the caliper bolts.

After roaming about the back of the truck, the noise was the rear wiper motor. I’ve no explanation for the correlation to the brakes causing the clicking to stop.

Wiper has not been working at all hence thought nothing of it as a possibility until I got in while it was early and quiet outside.

Brakes and calipers were fine.
