Hello guys .. did quick search about and seems there is no previous thread about this .. wife got new car for Christmas .. ( unfortunately ins't Land Cruiser ) and wonder If I had to do something like polish the new paint .?

all comments will be appreciated ..

No. A simple carwash and dry will leave it looking sparkling new. The paint systems that the manufacturer's use today are state of the art. It will eventually dull, but I wouldn't worry about it for quite some time. Most of the time you will only need to buff/polish when you have scratches you want to get out.

they make a liquid polish i think mcquires and a few others, anyway i use it on the show cars i have. you just wipe on and leave and it makes it shine and repeal water real good. you really dont need anything on new paint. i will post the brand i use tomorrow when i look

thanks Guys .. it's a new kinda blue Hyundai Santa Fé .. ( wife rig ) paint looks as nice as it could be and I was just wondering if there was something to do to keep that way longer ..

appreciate your recommendations .. and gonna wait until the first bump / scratch will come .. :D

A good wax job never hurts.
