Great build keep it up!

Shane started cutting and attatching the diamond plate to the bed today, his welds look better and better. Also, I discovered that when we lifted the body, we pulled the oxegyn sensor out of it's connector, whoops. L.B.

Its coming together for sure...

Have not posted in a while. Progress is real slow. The kid got a little more done this weekend. We covered the bed with 3/16 diamond plate. Working with this material was harder than I thought it was going to be. We formed all pieces by hand and are in the process of welding them in place to make a diamond plate bed, welded to diamond plate bed rails. The 6" round holes in the bed are for boat deck access plates (to access the wiring and gas fill cable). The horizontal pieces welded to the top (near where the tail gate closes) are for 1.75 inch tubing on each side of tailgate that will tie in to top of rear roll bar for spare mounting. They are removeable (with four bolts) to access the tail lights. The front bumper is finished, still looking for a used winch. Have not decided what to do with the small side windows (maybe cover in diamond plate, maybe have small windows made and installed).

Progress is progress!...and I'm voting for small windows. :D

Finished the spare tire carrier today. We used the original chain lift and installed it upside down. The carrier is bolted to the c pillar roll bar thru roof. It rotates up to remove rear hatch for summer when we use tube doors. L.B.

Whoops, forgot to upload pic.

Shane and I made some progress on our rig this week. We changed a rear rotor (old one broke), repaired sunroof, installed one oxy sensor, finished one rock slider, made roll bar mounts for the hi-lift jack (just inside rear window), had Kelly Safari TSR 315's mounted (with a used 315 for spare). To be continued.....L.B.

Great project! You will look back at this project with many good memories. Life is short, but you got a good start on it.
